Auckland Forest Cup Series # 1

Hosted by Waikato Orienteering Club, near Te Aroha.

Location: Killarney Lakes, Wairakau Rd, Te Aroha
Start times 10.30am to 12.30pm

This event is the first race in the Forest Cup Series. This is a 5–race event shared by the three Auckland Region Clubs (NWOC, CMOC, and AOC), and Orienteering Waikato. There will be a points competition across the series culminating in a Series Finale on the 14^th of September. More information on the Forest Cup can be found here.

NOTE: The parking is approx 2 hours drive from Auckland CBD. The event centre is a 15min walk from the parking area. Then the start is another 20min walk past the event centre. There will be a limited shuttle service available for older and younger competitors. ALLOW TIME.

Nine course options on offer:

• • White 2.1 km (beginner)
  • Yellow 2.6 km (fairly easy)
  • Orange Short 3.0 km (moderate difficulty)
  • Orange Long 4.0 km  (moderate difficulty)
  • Purple 2.4 km (difficult , less physical)
  • Red 4 3.5 km (difficult)
  • Red 3 4.5 km (difficult)
  • Red 2 5.5 km (difficult)
  • Red 1  7.1 km (difficult)
