Event coordinating guide for coordinators

Coordinating might seem like an intimidating job at first, but...

  • it is the controller that has ultimate responsibily for the event,
  • there is exceptional experience in the club volunteers,
  • and the volunteers will organise themself if not given instructions from the coordinator.

We use a coordinator because...

  • a nominated leader helps improve efficiency and reduce stress before and on event day,
  • and it upskills potential event directors, who we need for major events.

We've made an Event coordinating guide, which includes a helpful checklist to be completed for each event. This guide is also helpful for planners and controllers to know what the controller is taking care of, and therefore what communication is expected of them and what they don't need to worry about.
