President’s introduction
Kia ora all. We've hosted 2 more massive events! Thanks Fiona McBryde, Stu Lynch, Steve Pyatt, Lisa Mead and Jenny Cade for Rogaine 1 and Dave Middleton, Geoff Mead and Lisa Mead for Rogaine 2. These were both record setting for local events in term of number of participants. I also have to thank the general membership for stepping up to the plate when we rolled out our new approach to volunteer jobs without warning. We didn't know what to expect, but we have ripped the bandaid off and are not looking back. The critical feedback was also really appreciated and is helping us reorient other parts of the club around this operating model to reflect the diversity of priorities throughout the membership.

Graze & North West Club

Thanks to our new Club Sponsor Graze, we've had a fabulous time giving away products from their Skinny Dipped Range at our recent events. Think "crunchy roasted almonds, peanuts or cashews, thinly coated in delicious chocoate with a whisper of dustings" - these snacks are divine. There has been much excitement by those lucky enough to receive a pack. A big thanks to Graze for their wonderful support.

Club Website - Are you using it?
It is great to see so many new faces helping at our events, but as the group of volunteers increases, so does the importance of communication. To help with this we emphasise the website as a central part of our communication to members. Anything that applies to multiple events has a page. This helps keep emails concise and since information on the website can be updated you won't have out of date information in your inbox.
If you are after information that could help you with any club business, please make us aware and we will find a way to make it available on the website for you and others.
Mapping Opportunity
If anyone is keen to give mapping a go, there is an opportunity to map Sanders Reserve which we plan to use for an event later this year. This would suit someone starting out with mapping. We will provide advice on how to get started and some supervision. See info about Sanders Reserve here
