North West wins Interclub Relays for 2025
For the first time in a few years, on Sunday 2 November, North West won the Interclub Relays. Competition from Auckland and Counties Manukau Clubs was tight with a two-point winning margin.
Podium placings by North West teams that contributed to the win were:
- Open Grade; First place - NWOC team of Gene Beveridge, Renee Beveridge & Liam Stolberger
- Veterans; First place - NWOC team of Mark Lawson, Lisa Mead, Geoff Mead
- Masters; Second place - NWOC team of Alexander Hood, Suzanne Stolberger, Mark Barrett-Hamilton
- Juniors: Second place - NWOC team of Aidan Barrett-Hamilton, Arietty Smith-Godoy, Jaimie Appleton
- Allcomers: First Place - the NWOC Finn Family Team of Alexander, Amelie & Sian Finn

Tūāraki North Orienteering Champs, Rotorua, November
Entries have closed for Tūāraki Northern Regional Champs which is on this coming weekend, 8 & 9 November, in the Rotorua/Taupo area. All the best to those North West Club members off to compete.
National Rogaine Champs 2025
This event will be held on 22 & 23 November at Snow Farm, Mt Pisa just south of Wānaka. As well as the 24 hour championship event, there will be 15, 6, and 3 hour options. Event information here. Entries close Wednesday, 19 November @20:00
National Club Champs 2026
These will be held over Easter weekend, Friday 3 April to Monday 6 April in the Masterton area.

Tūāraki North Regional Champs, 25 - 27 April 2026
To be hosted by North West over Anzac Weekend 2026.
Key Info
- Three multi day length events on the best maps in Woodhill Forest
- Chasing starts for most grades on Day 3.
- Days 2 & 3 will be at Lake Rototoa, last used for Oceania in 2017.
- Camping available close to the event centres in a beautiful deer farm, ideal for those picking up a small camper van or who are willing to stay in a tent
- 20 minutes drive to the Parakai hot pools and food places.

This social event will be held at Coatesville Hall, 4 Mahoenui Valley Road, Coatesville.
The event will also include North West's AGM for 2025

The 2025 Australian Orienteering Championships were held in Brisbane in late September/early October. This was a huge evnt with 7 events and 960 participants from 15 different countries.
