North West Orienteering Club is excited to be hosting the Tūāraki North Regional Champs from Saturday 25 to Sunday 27 April 2026.
- All three days will be on the Lake Rototoa map, which includes a number of new areas that have been recently mapped.
- There will be chasing starts for most grades on the final day.
- Camping is available close to the event centres in a beautiful deer farm, ideal for those picking up a small camper van or who are willing to stay in a tent. It is 20 minutes drive to the Parakai hot pools and food places.

Event Overview
Tūāraki will comprise three multi-day-length events with a chasing start for most classes on Day 3.
*Start Times, Saturday 25 April
Saturday 25 April is Anzac Day and commemorative restrictions state that events should not start before 1pm. As a concession to observing these restrictions and balancing our need for sufficient hours of daylight to complete the event, we are proposing first starts will be at midday. For any person who is involved in Anzac Day commemoration events or who does not wish to start before 1pm we will offer a later start. If this applies to you, once you have entered Tūāraki, please email Event Organisers advising of your request.
